Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
Tributes were today paid to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 121st birth anniversary here. Paying tributes to Netaji, United Democratic Party working president Paul Lyngdoh today lamented that revolutionary icons like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are given little space in history books.
Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) working president, Adelbert Nongrum paying tributes to Netaji called upon the people, especially the youth, to learn from the life and deeds of the freedom fighter. Holding portraits of Netaji and raising patriotic slogans, people took part in 'prabhat pheris' (morning processions) here.
