In a gruesome case of domestic violence, a 50-year-old Myanmarese national killed his estranged wife by setting off an explosive under her pillow.
The man, H Ngunchhuma, placed a gelatine stick under the pillow of his 45-year-old wife Lenpari when she was sleeping at the home of their eldest son on Friday, Aizawl district SP Lalbiakthanga Khiangte said.
Lenpari had left her husband and was staying with her son for the last two weeks after perpetual violence by her husband, Khiangte said.
