A court in Delhi on Friday sent a man arrested for molesting two women, including a journalist, at a Metro station to 14 days judicial custody.

Metropolitan Magistrate Ambika Singh remanded Akhilesh Kumar, who works as a help at a tea stall and lives in a slum area near ITO in central Delhi. He was arrested on Thursday from his home after police conducted a raid.

The incident took place on Monday evening when the accused was under the influence of alcohol. Separately, he groped the two women on the dimly lit stairs of the Metro station at ITO. One of the women fought back and punched him.
