A local court here today has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for beating his wife to death five years ago.
Additional District Sessions Judge Amber Rawat also imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on accused Devraj after pronouncing him guilt under section 302 of the IPC.
According to government lawyer Firoz Ali, Meera Devi (30) was beaten to death by her husband over some family dispute. The incident took place at Bamanheri Village in the district here on December 17, 2013.
