Man arrested for leaking SSC algebra exam paper

The accused was caught red-handed and is being probed in a fake certificates racket as well


The Ambernath police in Thane District have arrested a man for distributing and selling SSC board's algebra question paper just before the exam. Police suspects that the accused is part of a fake certificate racket too. According to the police, the accused identified as Feroz Abdul Majid Khan, 30, is a resident of Ambernath (West) and runs his own private coaching class.

On Thursday, around 11.20 am just before the SSC board exam he was caught selling algebra's C-code question paper to students and also divulging the answers to his students at Fatima school, Ambernath (West). The Ambernath police received a tip-off and two constables rushed to the spot and caught Khan with an original question paper.

At the police station Khan confessed to the crime while being interrogated. After Fatima school's principal Horton D'Souza filed an FIR, Khan was arrested. "We caught Khan red-handed while he was selling question paper. We are investigating the matter," said Shivshankar Munde, senior inspector, Ambernath police station. The police is trying to find out if any board officer was involved in the racket. Khan will be produced in court on Friday.
