If you are one of those who love to push themselves to the limit, then National Education Foundation (NEF) is the group for you. Walking on water is just the latest in the series of adventure sports this group indulges in. Others include river rafting, rappelling and endurance races.

Prasad Purandare, whou00a0 formed the group in 1992 said, "The idea behind NEF was to inculcate adventure spirit in the youth. We have highlighted many activities like river rafting, adventure beach camps and the latest, which is walking on water," he said. The group has more than 300 members today.

According to Siddharth Tembe, member of the NEF, the group's latest activity is held in mid-winter in the most isolated, inhabited valleys of Ladakh. "The area is inaccessible for eight months of the year due to heavy snowfall. You can walk on water of the Zanskar river, as it freezes during winter. It is an exciting experience," he said.

Karan Kothari, a member, said, "We also organise cliff jumping for those who wish to face their fear of water."
