Kerala: Toddler gets stuck in pot, rescued by fire personnel

Thiruvananthapuram: A one-and-half-year-old girl child got stuck inside an aluminium pot while playing and was rescued after it was cut open using a hydraulic cutter here, police said today.

The toddler was pulled out of the pot following a lot of effort by the fire force personnel, police said.

The incident occurred yesterday when she was playing inside her house. Except the baby's head, her body was inside the pot. Hearing her cries, her parents tried to pull her out and when that went in vain, the help of police and fire force was sought.

The child was taken to a taluka hospital and later discharged.
