Dance and music will mark the inauguration ceremony of the second season of the Karnataka Premier League (KPL), which is all set to take off today.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Chinnaswamy stadium at 4.30 pm.
The event will begin with the performance of Kannada music composer Gurukiran, famous for his contributions to films such as Chitra, Dhum and A, among others.
After the performance, the respective captains would introduce their teams.
The teams Provident Bangalore, Mangalore United, Belagavi Panthers, Shamanur Davangereu00a0 Diamonds, Bangalore Brigadiers,u00a0Malnad Gladiators, Mysore Maharajas and Bijapur Bulls will be participating in KPL II, which will end on September 30.
Also, two dance groups from city, Vibes and Team 5.6.7.8 will be exhibiting all the dance forms of the state, including contemporary, folk and classical forms at the event. Classic Kannada songs have been especially remixed and edited for these dance recitals.
Besides, a sound and light laser show providing 3-D effect will be presented to enthrall the audience. The inauguration ceremony will be concluded with a display of fireworks.
