The Mumbai crime branch may have finally got a toehold in the spot fixing scam by showing off their loot - disgraced cricketer S Sreesanth's laptop and personal diary which they are now poring over in the hope of finding out names of other cricketers involved in the spot- fixing racket - but for the Delhi police, this is " worthless stuff." Speaking exclusively to SUNDAY MiD DAY, SN Shrivastav, special commissioner of Delhi police's special cell, said, "We took what we wanted when we arrested the three cricketers and a host of bookies. We have the main accused and they are talking to us. What do we need his laptop for? The hotel room where he stayed had a lot of Sreesanth's belongings.

What we will do with them?" Shrivastav was reacting to the swift raid that the Mumbai police conducted at the Sofitel in BKC on Saturday, seizing and sealing a laptop, an iPad, a mobile phone, a SIM card, three dairies and Rs 72,290 cash from the room in the five start property where the cricketer had checked in a day earlier.
When asked if the Delhi police had overlooked the fact that the arrested cricketers' belongings needed to be sealed and impounded, Shrivastav said the question of overlooking or missing a clue did not arise. " Actually we have no need of Sreesanth's belongings. We have enough proof against him in any case," he said.
When told that the Mumbai crime branch had earned acclaim and brownie points for seizing Sreesanth's laptop and diary from which they now hoped to get further leads into the spot-fixing racket, Shrivastav said, "Where was the Mumbai police when betting and spotfixing was going on in the city or when we were trying to catch the cricketers and the bookies?"
