Only guava, no cheese
Dadar resident Ann Dias is quite popular in these parts. The genial baker has been taking orders for Christmas sweets since 1982. Her in-laws, who hail from Goa, taught her how to make traditional Goan sweets like Dodol (a sweet made with coconut juice, rice flour and ghee), Chona Chi Dosh (made from ground chana, coconut, jaggery and ghee) and Perrad (guava cheese). Don't go by its name, Guava Cheese has no cheese in it, and is primarily made with guavas, and has a fudge-like consistency. Ann's order list is a delicious assortment of goodies -- Marzipan, Milk Cream, Walnut Fudge, Chocolate Fudge, Date Rolls, Nankatais, Neuris, Plum Cake, Date And Walnut Cake, Chocolates and Cocoa Rocks.
At 9A, Maria Villa, College Lane, Dadar (W).
