Hercules Inext Bikeathon, after enthralling bikers across North India over the past two years, has successfully launched and completed its 3rd Season on 19th September 2010.

The mini bicycling marathon set the streets afire across 4 states in the 12 cities of Kanpur, Lucknow, Agra, Allahabad, Dehradun, Meerut, Varanasi, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Patna, Jamshedpur and Ranchi on Sunday morning. Those who attended this mega cycling rally found themselves part of a strong crowd cheering for fun, freedom and fitness.
Inext is known for connecting with its readers in the most unique of ways and Bikeathon is the biggest, most popular of these.
Last year over 20,000 bikers had participated in this event and pledged to take up cycling for good health. This year the number more than just doubled itself with Bikeathon attaining cult status in the 12 Inext cities.
In Kanpur, the rally was flagged off by Mr Amit Ghosh, Commissioner -Kanpur Zone. There were some known faces in the form of Ankita Mishra of Indian Idol fame, stand-up comedian Aniruddh Madheshia and Siddharth Goyal , The Great Indian Laughter Challenge - Chhote Miyan winner . Ankita Mishra's enthralling performance as she belted out one chartbuster after another and the power packed dance routine of a city choreography club had the audience captivated and cheering for more.
In Lucknow, the guest included ADG Brijlal, Navneet Sehgal, Chairman and MD Power Corporation, Jugal Kishore of Peepli Live fame, TanmayChaturvedi of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs, famous folk singer Malini Awasthi and fashion designer Asma Hussain. The rock band Trishna with Uday Bharat, Colours talent hunt show finalists, kept the participants cheering and asking for more. The city also witnessed a star performance by a stunt biking group.
In Ranchi , the rally was inaugurated by Virendra Barai, our very own Junior Michael Jackson and Deepak Tirkhi, Chak De Bachche winner. In Patna, Shalini Vats of Peepli Live fame, in Jamshedpur, Shraddha Das and Anandrupa Bagchi of Indianu00a0 Idol fame and in Allahabad, actor Tanvir Zaidi, performed to packed audiences who cheered and hooted them for more. In Varanasi, the rally was flagged off by DIG of Police D.K. Thakur and in Gorakhpur by DIG Aseem Arun. In Dehradun, the IG Garhwal and minister Prakash Pant inaugurated the rally.
In Agra, Sparsh Shrivastav of Chak Dhoom Dhoom fame and reality star Deeksha Rajput graced Bikeathon with their presence and charmed the crowd. Bikeathon is not only about cycling.
