Patidar agitation movement's leader, Hardik Patel, took to Twitter to slam his opposition using remodelled lyrics from the song, 'Ramchandra Keh Gaye Siya Se'
Patidar agitation movement's leader, Hardik Patel, took to Twitter to slam his opposition using remodelled lyrics from the song, 'Ramchandra Keh Gaye Siya Se'. In his tweet, Patel made various allegations and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he called the 'Kalyug' or period of hell.
The morphed lyrics, whose original version appeared in the 1970 Dileep Kumar-starrer; Gopi, mentioned the construction of a temple for Mahatma Gandhi's killer, Nathuram Godse by the Hindu Mahasabha and instances of communal violence as examples of the 'Kalyug' brought about by the ruling party.
The harshest comment made in the tweet, however, referenced the recent sex tape scandal in which Patel is embroiled. The poem stated, "He who could not take care of his wife, is now making CDs of others," an alleged reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's estranged relationship with 64-year-old Jashodaben Modi.

While Patel had initially challenged the authenticity of the sex tape, he has changed his focus towards its perpetuators. Blaming the BJP for focusing on the wrong issues, the Patidar leader wrote in an earlier tweet, "Gujarat's voters don't want to see a (CD of) a 22-year-old boy, they want to see a CD on whether there has been any development in the state in the last 22 years." There have been four such tapes released online.
