Ghana national held, cocaine seized

Ashoknagar police arrested a Ghana national on charges of supplying cocaine here today.
The police have recovered cocaine worth Rs 12 lakh from his possession.
u00a0u00a0u00a0 Acting on a tip-off, the police took up investigation and learnt that a drug peddler would come near MG Road to supply a consignment to a client on Saturday, according to the sources. Subsequently a trap was laid and a Ghana national, identified as Maham, was arrested with the stuff.
u00a0u00a0u00a0 The police have seized three mobile phones, a laptop and a cash of Rs 40,000 from Maham. Further investigations are on.
