It was a foggy morning here on Saturday with the minimum temperature recorded at 12.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the weather office said. "There was moderate fog at several places this morning. The sky will remain clear during the day," an India Meteorological Department official said.
According to the IMD, visibility stood at 800 metres, while humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 84 per cent. At least 10 trains were cancelled and 20 were delayed due to fog in several parts of northern India, the railways said.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 26 degrees Celsius. Friday's maximum temperature settled at 25.1 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.2 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
