Poser for police: Ramee Grand Hotel at Apte Road in Deccan where 19-year-old Sagar Borge was found dead on Monday morning

The deceased was presently residing in the hotel and was working there as a trainee room boy, informed officials from Deccan police station. "The teen fell around 1.30 am. People present heard someone scream, and on looking around they found Sagar lying near the hotel lobby. We are probing the matter. For now, we have registered it as accidental death," said inspector Manohar Joshi.

According to cops, Borge is a resident of the Borgewadi, Patan and had taken up the employment after completing a course in hotel management from Kolhapur. "As per the information available, he might have fallen off on his own. But we cannot rule out the possibility of foul play and are investigating the matter from all angles. We've heard that he did not have any quarrel with any other staff member," Joshi added.

"He had been called from a room asking for shampoo and towel, but he never reached there. CCTV cameras are present only on the ground floor, and the deceased can be seen in the footage after falling," the inspector said. "We came to know about the incident early in the morning, when some people from the hotel came to our house and escorted us here to Pune. We had had a general conversation with him the previous day. We have bought a buffalo, and we had a chat about that," Sunanada Borge, the deceased's mother, said. Borge is survived by his father, a farmer, mother, brother and sister.
