Taking into consideration the series of complaints and confused remarks made by teacher associations across the state for the past few days, state education minister Vinod Tawde on Wednesday held a conference to clear all doubts.
Following a government resolution (GR) stating the need for certain degree specifications for those teaching subjects like Music, Art, physical training, etc, many tecahers are now worried about losing their jobs to others with the necessary education qualifications.
"The GR clearly mentions that those on job are already qualified to do so and the specifications are for new recruits only, then there should be no question of teachers losing jobs," said Tawde.
He added that teachers should be assured that more than them losing jobs, there's a very good possibility of more teachers being hired to fill vacant posts. "The GR is self explanatory and the purpose is to enhance quality of education in schools," he added.
