Zakir Naik is an Indian Islamic preacher who is considered as one of the controversial preacher from India. He is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), and founder of Peace TV channel, through which he reaches a reported 100 million viewers.

Twitterati took to Twitter to blame Naik for the Dhaka attacks.

Naik is banned in the UK, Canada and Malaysia. He is widely popular in Bangladesh through his Peace TV, although his preaching often demeans other religions including other Muslim sects and is among 16 banned Islamic scholars in Malaysia.
