Congress corporator, two others out on bail

Congress Corporator in the PMC Sunny Nimhan, and two other persons were arrested on Sunday on charges of trespassing onto a property in Baner, wrongfully restraining its owners and threatening others on the spot.


The accused
Chandrashekhar alias Sunny Vinayak Nimhan, Dhananjay Madhavrao Birajdar and Mallikarjun Hallapa Madhar were booked under two separate complaints. One complaint was lodged by one Anjali Arun Deshmukh of Baner, while the other was lodged by Shalini Chindhu Chaudhari of Shivajinagar.u00a0

The case
The police said the case pertained to an approach road to an under construction residential area near Dhawalgiri Society along the Katraj-Dehu Road bypass on the Mumbai-Bangalore Highway.

The complainants alleged that Nimhan and the others trespassed onto the approach route to their residential society on Saturday night, demolished an under-construction wall with an earthmover and also wrongfully blocked the way.

The three accused were presented in the Sessions Court and released on bail.u00a0
