In a first, BBMP Corporator from Vijaynagar, H Ravindra, will play the lead in film Iyengar IPS scheduled for release next month
Come August and Bangalore will watch BBMP Corporator H Ravindra playing the lead on the big screen.
Ravindra, a former ruling party leader and BJP corporator from Vijaynagar, will, following the release of the film Iyengar IPS next month, become the first city corporator to star in a movie.
The movie narrates the story of an IPS officer, who witnesses several ups and downs in his life. The film has been shot in scenic locales like Sakleshpur, Kodagu, Mysore and Melkote.
"The movie will be released shortly," said Ravindra. "I am done with whatever was expected of me. I am looking forward to the release," he added.
While the recently-formed BBMP has corporators from varied fields like industries, engineering, teaching, medicine and wildlife conservation, Ravindra has scored a first by playing the lead in a film.
Mahesh V, a close aide to Ravindra told MiD DAY that the film has a message for society.
"It's a movie that can be watched by the entire family but appeals to the youngsters in particular. It is an attempt to highlight the shortcomings in society.
