Picture this: We reach the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, a day ahead of the Global Citizen India Festival, and in the first couple of minutes, we are treated to the sight of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

The two icons laughed and chatted as they strolled towards the venue with an entourage. Chris was dressed in causals, a pair of denims and T-shirt, and the radiant blue cap he donned stood out. We also spotted Sachin-s wife, Anjali Tendulkar, at the venue."

Farhan Akhtar and Parineeti Chopra were spotted entering

As we sauntered around, trying to get a sense of the prep for the grand show, we saw Parineeti Chopra step down from an Audi. After resisting initially, the actress posed gaily for the shutterbugs before entering the stage area. A few minutes later, Amitabh Bachchan arrived. However, Big B didn-t acknowledge the lensmen he didn-t lower the window and his car raced inside the venue. Around 10 minutes after Big B-s arrival, his voice resonated across the area. It wasn-t too clear, but it sounded like a narration of his famous monologue, -Tu thud ki khoj mein nikal- from his latest release, Pink.

The level of excitement in public could be gauged from the long queues at pass counters. We also saw people enquiring about tickets with huge bags it seemed they-d travelled from outside Mumbai for the show perhaps to try their luck, last minute.
