Raipur: A 35-year-old labourer died while three others were injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded at an industrial zone in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
According to Additional SP Manisha Thakur, the mishap on Labour Day today took place at an unit in the Nainpur industrial zone of the said district.
The deceased labourer has been identified as one Dharmjeet Pandey, Thakur said, adding that a case has been registered in connection with the incident.
The explosion, which occurred when the labourers were loading oxygen cylinders onto a truck, also left the plant manager Rajendra Lal Sahu (37) injured along with two others, police said.
A case has been registered and inquiries have been launched in this connection, they added.
