So what's so special about this Diwali, Namita Gupta asks Bangalore's biz honchos and designers
This Diwali has been very special, as we opened our flagship four-floor store of bridal and festival outfits for men and women. There is a lot of bling, which is in this season, so I am picking up a nice saree in shimmer gold with crystal work, which I will wear for Diwali. I am going to light up my house and boutique with diyas and lots of flower decorations in the store.

I'm quite muted this Diwali with the issues around like floods, so I'm having a quiet Diwali. But, of course, I will do the puja and will light up my house with lots of lights, lamps and diyas.

This is the first time we are just the four of us, as earlier it was always with in-laws, parents and friends. All four of us are going to light up the house with a lot of designer diyas. It's my daughter Aanya's first Diwali, so it is very special for us. For Dhanteras, I picked a pretty gold bracelet for Aanya and as a ritual I also picked up a few gold coins. I have designed a halter blouse with a fish skirt for my six-month old Aanya.
Anita Kholay, rallyist and designer
I plan to buy lots of flowers like marigold and rose petals, lots of scented candles and diyas to light up my house on Diwali. I've called a few friends home for teen-patti and late night parties.
