Security has been stepped up in the city after a bomb was recovered from a tempo in Kidwai Nagar area, police said today.
"The tempo driver Naseem informed police after he saw a bomb with a timer and wires, in his vehicle," Kushhar Saurav, Superintendent of Police (City) said.
The bomb was later defused by the bomb disposal squad. A massive checking drive has been launched by police at all public places including railway station, bus stops after the incident.
"We have stepped up the vigil at every nook and corner of the city, around all the important buildings and police stations are on a high alert. Autos and tempos are especially being checked," he said.

The SP said that police is taking Naseem's help to prepare sketches of the passengers who alighted from his tempo just before the bomb was recovered.
