More people kept pouring in to file complaints against Sumanth Kumar Das, who started an investment firm and disappeared with the money on Saturday. The number of complainants has gone up to 150 and the money so far has reached Rs 10 crore.

"After reading the news in the papers, more and more people are coming to file complaints. The amount involved is also increasing. Sumanth seems to be from West Bengal. We have filed a case and investigation is on," said Commercial Street police.

"We cannot blame those duped by fly-by-night Frontier group, if we go by their website. The company's website is impressive and can fool anyone, if we are one among those who go by the words in websites."

The site calls the group a fast growing one. There is even a graph showing the steady growth. Moreover, the site also claims that the group has an IT services arm, consultancy services, real estate andu00a0u00a0 business interests in beauty and spa, and travels.

The design is also impressive, and much better than any of the government websites. No wonder people believed in it and invested their hard-earned money. But it turned out to be another financial hoax just like Vinivinc Shastry.

When we tried to call Sumanth, his cell phone said he had barred all incoming calls. The company also finds an entry in Just Dial directory.u00a0u00a0

This shows that we can't go by websites. The old rule of cross-checking still applies.
