"We all know what the election results are going to be on the [November] 8. Everyone knows what will happen. But does âtantrik' Nitish have any idea what he will do once he loses? This atmosphere that I am seeing right now is ripe and an indication towards the defeat of Lalu, Nitish and Sonia. The wrongdoers will be punished," he said while addressing an election rally.
Modi asserted that the BJP was fighting the elections not to defeat anyone, but only for the development of Bihar and its people. He had earlier addressed a rally in Chhapra where he lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, saying the âbrothers' were single-handedly responsible for trampling Bihar's development and warned them that their âdays are over'.
Two of the five phases of polling in Bihar have been concluded and the remaining three phases will be held on October 28, November 1 and 5. Counting will be done on November 8.
Nitish accuses PM of 'tactical silence'
Patna: Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his alleged failure to deliver on his election promises, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the PM had made "tactical silence" as a weapon of choice which is in stark contrast to his âunmatched theatrics and rhetoric by using unsubstantiated facts'.
"Modiji was always unmatched in theatrics, rhetoric and using unsubstantiated facts. Now tactical silence is his new weapon of choice," Nitish said in a series of tweets ahead of Modi's rallies in Bihar yesterday.
"The saga continues, so let us brace ourselves for a repeat performance in Bihar," he said. Nitish even questioned Modi's silence on promises like bringing back black money from abroad, hike in MSP for farmers, jobs for youths, special status for Bihar among others and charged the PM with conveniently forgetting all those promises.
