About 45 quintals of explosives were seized by the Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar police from two places in Gaya district in the wee hours on Thursday.
Acting on a tip off, police raided a shop at Kaulakhshni area here and seized 29 gunny bags containing explosives, Superintendent of Police (SP) SM Khopade said. The STF also raided a house under Delha police station in the district and recovered 70 sacks of explosive materials, Khopade said.
Each of the sacks contained 40 to 45 kg of explosives, he said. The explosives were highly inflammable and forensic experts have been called in from Patna for test, the SP added.
The Bihar Police had seized 30,000 live cartridges of point 315 bore, two AK-47 rifles, four Insas rifles and huge quantity of explosive from a house on November 10.

The STF had on November 8 seized liquid explosive, 14 carbine-manufacturing equipment, two pistols, 7221 live cartridges, 50 detonators, one box containing Naxal literature, CD and cassettes from a place in the state capital.
