The incident occurred at around 2.20pm.The autorickshaw driver sustained minor injuries to his waist and was admitted to K B Bhabha Hospital in Bandra (W).
The bus driver Supan Ramchandra Kadam (50) was booked under section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and section 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC.
Earlier this year, a bus had rammed into an autorickshaw in the Kalina area of Santaacruz (E) instantly killing the autorickshaw driver (45) and injuring three passengers in the auto.
In another incident, a BEST bus rammed into two pairs of motorcyclists at Aarey colony killing one person and injuring three.
Auto union leader, Sharad Rao, said that BEST drivers couldn't be blamed for the accidents that have been taking place as the number of vehicles on the road has increased.
The number of vehicles using Mumbai roads on a daily basis has gone upto 20 lakhs. In the last two months there have been four major accidents and 135 other accidents in which a staggering 177 people were injured.
