A 20-year-old Saudi Arabian student was relieved of his valuables, passport and visa by an autorickshaw driver in KG Halli on Wednesday.
Abdu Omerudin Ahmed, a resident of Al-Taif, KSA, was going to Hyderabad to visit a friend and took an autorickshaw from Yaseen Nagar to Kalsipalyam bus stand where he was to board the bus.
On the way, the driver asked if he could pick up his brother and also informed that he would be stopping to fill gas in the vehicle. Ahmed agreed and the driver picked up another person. After filling gas, the vehicle stopped near an isolated spot and the duo asked Ahmed to get down. Suspecting foul play, Ahmed refused, following which the duo assaulted him and pushed him out of the vehicle before speeding away.
"They stole three bags containing clothes, my passport, permit visa, Rs 1,000 and also my ticket to Hyderabad," Ahmed told the police.
The KG Halli police have taken up the complaint and based on the description provided by the victim, a massive manhunt for both the accused has been launched.
