New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today visited the house of Rajan, the 19-year-old, who died after being allegedly beaten up by a constable at a Dussehra fair in Narela area on October 26.
Kejriwal, accompanied by AAP's Delhi convenor Dilip Pandey, met the family members of Rajan in the morning.
Hundreds of agitated people had blocked the national highway near outer Delhi's Singhu border by placing the deceased' body on the day he died. The teenager was allegedly thrashed by the constable, Pramod Kumar (26) on October 21.
"The constable has been placed under suspension and an inquiry into the matter has been initiated. Further action shall be taken accordingly," DCP (Outer) Vikramjit Singh had said.
"A preliminary medical report revealed that the teenager had extremely high blood sugar and he went into a diabetic coma, which is a life threatening complication," the official had added.
