Rakesh Kumar spills the beans on his historic meeting with Neil Nitin Mukesh

The last time I witnessed someone walk into a place and illuminate it, was "god" in the TV serial Mahabharata.

Every time, he appeared on screen, there would be a bright stream of white light that outlined his figure and almost blinded the viewer. This was something that a couple of us experienced at RadioOne this weekend, when Neil Nitin Mukesh walked into our studios.

The star of the latest Bollywood flick, Aa Dekhen Zara, who we assume is a born CFL bulb or a tube light that emits incredible light. In other words, he is so fair, or rather, so shiny that we can easily do without electricity, with him in the room. At one point I felt, he is such a piece of God's work, that even the manufacturers of Fair & Lovely would get a severe complex. (Please note: I am not being racist). Gone are the days when we used to flaunt clean, bright skin. These are days of clean, bright pates. Prithvi's sparkles even.u00a0u00a0

But cutting out all the beauty talk, Neil Nitin Mukesh is fun to talk to. Friendly, full of masti and truly from the fatafat generation. We asked him to sing, he did. We asked him to connect us to Bipasha Basu online, he did.

We asked him to take on the arm wrestling challenge, he did. Talk about arm wrestling, my face goes pink. We were two against one. Prithvi and me vs Neil Nitin Mukesh. And yet we lost. The picture tells you our story of fame....uh uh... sorry shame. Though Prithvi claims that we let Neil win, I know the real story. But one thing that took us by surprise is that, when we asked him, when he got his first girl friend. He said: 1997! We were likeu2026 is that an age to even start? In those days Prithvi and I, were just these knicker-clad boys, loafing from galli to galli on our rented cycles. Well, you can catch us on radio these days. Every morning on Bengalooru Fatafat only on 94.3 RadioOne.u00a0
