Accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway claims 13-year-old Thane girl's life

A 13-year-old girl from Thane died in a major accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on Sunday. The teenager was travelling in a car with her two siblings and four other relatives, all of whom sustained injuries

A 13-year-old girl from Thane died in a major accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway last evening.

Identified as Sharvari Ajay Kadam, the teenager was travelling in a car with her two siblings and four other relatives, all of whom sustained injuries and were admitted to MGM hospital in Panvel. A case has been registered at Khopoli police station.

An officer said, "The accident took place when the car hit a vehicle in front of it, due to which the driver lost control and rammed into the divider. Sharvari died on the spot."
