A 75-year-old woman, out on bail in a murder case, was beaten to death with sticks at her house in Rajasthan's Bundi, police said today. Police suspect that the woman, identified as Puran Kour Sikh of Dagariya village in Hindoli area, was beaten to death last night by the relatives of a man she and her family members had allegedly killed.
Her body was recovered this morning. It was handed over to her family after a post-mortem, they said. Six people have been for the woman's killing, they said. According to Hindoli police station SHO Laxman Singh, Puran Kour Sikh, her husband and two sons had allegedly killed 70-year-old man Dilbagh Singh in October last year.
She was arrested, along with her husband and two sons, in the October murder case. She was released on bail a few days ago. She had planned to stay with her daughter and went home to collect her belongings when she was killed, police said.
