Agra (Uttar Pradesh): A 13-year-old boy lost his hand in a freak accident while he was been dragged by his pet cow and was attacked by some monkeys in Uttar Pradesh's Maitahan. The boy has been taken to Delhi hospital and said to be in critical condition, The Times of India reported.
The incident happened when the boy, identified at Ansh Yadav, was coming home from school and untied his pet cow and tied its rope around his wrist. When a biker passing by honked, it startled the cow and due to which he began running. Yadav lost his grip and fell after which he was dragged for almost 100 metres by the cow.
While he was being dragged by the cow, Yadav's leg got stuck into a car parked nearby and his right hand, that was tied to the rope, got ripped from his body. While the residents of the local came to help, some monkeys came and attacked his face. The residents said that the incident happened in a span of seconds that the boy's hand had already got ripped from his body by the time anyone could help him.
The boy's father, Gopal took the boy and his severed hand in a polythene bag to a local medical college. As the doctors there could not do much, the boy was taken to Delhi that evening, in a critical condition.
