On Sunday, 11 people were held by the Kherwadi police under charges of rash driving after the police laid a trap and caught them at a nakabandi on Western Express Highway in Bandra.
The incident took place after 11 pm on Sunday as the drivers jumped a signal on the Western Express Highway and a nakabandi in where they were asked to stop. However, because of them ignoring the stop-over signal which was raised by the police, a message was passed through wireless phones to the police team posted on the next signal for nakabandi.
According to police officials, the other police team caught hold of the 11, fined them Rs 2,000 and let them go. More than 30 people have been arrested in the month of January for rash driving.u00a0
