Nurse Jayalakshmi also claims she's determined to end new minister Renukacharya's political career

If Jayalakshmi is to be believed, Renukacharya is trying hard to pacify his erstwhile lover even as she is determined to upset his political applecart.

The newly-appointed minister has asked one of their common friends to convince nurse Jayalakshmi to accept a compromise, the lady in question said. Although she was not willing to reveal the name of the mediator, Jayalakshmi said, "He is our common friend and let me tell you he is not a politician."

Renukacharya is understood to have pleaded through the mediator that Jayalakshmi spare him as he had obtained the ministerial berth with great difficulty and he was at a critical stage of his political career.

"He has used all tricksu00a0-- right from threats to offering me money. I won't trust him as has not settled his dues with me. He owes me a huge amount which I don't want to reveal."

Renukacharya allegedly went to the extent of saying he had certain documents with him that proved Jayalakshmi had committed certain irregularities.

When she did not pay heed to his threats, he allegedly resorted to compromise.

She added, "He wants a chance to meet me, but I am prepared to offer him a garland of slippers if he comes to me. He deserves to be slapped. It is a do or die situation for me to finish him politically."

She also said that she is planning to call on the governor with a demand for Renukacharya's ouster and is expecting women organisations to join her. "I have an appointment with the governor and I think I will meet him with a memorandum in a day or two. My pledge is that people like Renukacharya must be disseminated and some two thousand women will join hands."

At this point, Jayalakshmi ended the telephonic conversation with MiD DAY, as she was apprehensive that her phone was tapped.

The Other Side

The newly-inducted minister Renukacharya said, "I have not asked anybody to talk to Jayalakshmi on my behalf. I still think it will be good for both of us if we mend fences, but I do not require any mediator for this."
