Mumbai: Traffic stalled, Motorcyclist injured after crane falls on Eastern Expressway

In a tragic incident, a motorcyclist was severely injured after a crane fell on the eastern expressway. The crane was traveling towards Bhandup from Alibaug on a trailer along the eastern expressway. While descending the Ghatkopar bridge, the trailer`s rope snapped, causing the crane to fall onto the road below. A motorcyclist came under the crane, and his legs were severed from his body. He has been admitted to Sion Hospital for treatment. The Ghatkopar bridge has been closed for traffic for the last six hours, and traffic is being diverted via the service road.
