Ganeshotsav is being celebrated across India on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2024. The city of Mumbai is seeing devotees bringing Ganpati Bappa idols home and devotees flocking to famous Ganpati pandals in Mumbai. The Ganpati festival started in Mumbai decades back from a tiny chawl in the Girgaon area of Mumbai under the leadership of Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak. The Ganpati festival is still celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in this tiny chawl and in the same fashion as it was celebrated decades ago.
