After her victory Rutuja Latke met party chief Uddhav Thackeray at his Bandra residence, Matoshree.

The Andheri byelection was the first electoral contest in Maharashtra after the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government collapsed in June following a revolt by a section of the party's MLAs led by Eknath Shinde.

Latke was felicitated at Matoshree in presences of Aaditya Thackeray, Rashmi Thackeray and other party leaders.
