In a statement, the Western Railway (WR) said a major block will be taken on the Up and Down Fast lines and the 5th line during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, i.e. September 28 and 29, to facilitate the construction of the 6th line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations
A block will be operated from 12 am to 10 am on the Up fast line, 12.45 am to 5 am on Down Fast line and 12 am to 5 am on 5th line on September 28/29
During the block period, all Up and Down Fast trains will run on the Slow lines between Borivali and Andheri
WR has stated that the work on the 6th line between Goregaon and Kandivali has picked up pace
During the block, all the 5th-line Mail/Express trains will operate on Down Fast line from Andheri to Borivali. Few suburban trains will be affected and cancelled/short terminated during the block period
The railways intends to complete the work by October
