Three people were killed after a small plane crashed in Chilliwack in Canada's British Columbia. The victims included two Indian trainee pilots on board. A 25-year-old Vasai resident, Abhay Gadroo, died at a time when his parents were doing Char Dham Yatra

Talking exclusively with mid-day, Gadroo’s childhood friend Gaurav Goel said, “Abhay spent his childhood in Vasai and studied at Thakur College, Kandivli. Later, he moved to Canada for commercial pilot license training. So, he was in Canada for the last three years. He was about to complete his training by November this year”

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) received the information about the incident around 2 pm PST

The cause of the Piper PA-34 Seneca, a twin-engined light aircraft crash is still unknown

"The scene is contained and there were no other reported injuries or risks to the public in the area," RCMP said in a news release
