Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 21 degrees Celsius

The weather bureau has predicted partly cloudy sky in the city and suburbs. The minimum temperature is likely to be around 31 degrees Celsius and minimum at 22 degrees Celsius

On Thursday, the Central Government's SAFAR app reported in its latest Mumbai weather updates that the city’s air quality remained in the 'moderate' category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 159 at 5.5 pm

Sensor-based air pollution monitoring systems will be installed at all construction project work sites and immediate action to be taken if pollution levels are detected above the limit

The air quality index from 0 to 100 is considered 'good', 100 to 200 'moderate', 200 to 300 'poor', 300 to 400 'very poor' and from 400 to 500 or above 'severe'

As per the SAFAR app, many areas across Mumbai showed 'moderate' AQI. Some of these areas include Chembur, Malad, Sewri, and Powai 

In the morning, the AQI remained in the moderate category at 157

The civic body will also form squads at the ward level to visit construction sites and act if guidelines are flouted

Meanwhile, as air pollution levels continue to rise in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has revised guidelines issued last year for construction sites

On Thursday evening, the civic body undertook certain steps efforts to mitigate the issue of pollution and suppress dust as part of an ongoing initiative to improve air quality

Despite the deteriorating air quality, Mumbaikars visited Dadar beach to enjoy the winter 

Meanwhile, as part of its battle against air pollution, BMC has developed a special Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to tackle Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste, control dust levels, and enhance the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Mumbai

It has cleaned and washed 128 roads, covering 263 kilometres. A total of 92 machines, including water tankers, firex units, and misting machines, have also been deployed

The Mumbai civic body deployed 365 cleanup marshals for Thursday. They collected Rs 97,100 as fines from those violating the rules

In its latest updates, the Central Pollution Control Board’s SAMEER app reported that the city’s air quality remained in the 'moderate' category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 166
