Areas like Bandra Kurla Complex, Borivali East, and Chembur are also experiencing elevated AQI levels, ranging from 204 to 268. Vulnerable groups, such as children, the elderly, and people with respiratory conditions, are advised to stay indoors to avoid health risks.

Residents are urged to limit outdoor activities, as the high pollution levels can trigger respiratory issues even in healthy individuals. Face masks and air purifiers are recommended as preventive measures to minimise exposure to harmful pollutants.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast foggy weather for Mumbai, with a gradual clearing expected by the afternoon. Ghatkopar, Malad West, and Sewri are also facing poor air quality, with AQI levels reaching over 250.
The deteriorating air quality is linked to the winter season, which often traps pollutants close to the ground.

Monitoring AQI levels throughout the day is crucial for making informed decisions on outdoor activities and ensuring public health.
