The Diwali 2024 celebrations began in the country on Tuesday, October 29, with Dhanteras
Every year, Shivaji Park is beautifully decorated on the occasion of Diwali and witnesses a large number of spectators who gather to watch the fireworks
The main days of Diwali 2024 fall on Thursday and Friday. Events are held worldwide to celebrate the festival, which symbolises the return of Lord Ram to his city of Ayodhya after his 14-year exile
The Diwali festivities end with Tulsi Pooja
In Ayodhya, more than 25 lakh lamps have been lit along the banks of the Saryu River, marking the first Diwali celebration since the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram temple held in January
The festival holds great prominence in Maharashtra, too. MNS is one of the parties that will be fighting the state polls which are to be held on November 20
In the previous Assembly polls, the party had won only a single seat and it looks to better its performance in this election
Although the party has decided to go solo for the polls, it might tie-up with the Mahayuti if the latter comes to power after November 23
