Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray cast his vote on Monday, May 20, as Mumbai went into polling in the fifth phase of India General Elections 2024.

Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav  was accompanied by his wife Rashmi and sons Aaditya & Tejas Thackeray as they cast their vote in Bandra East. 

Uddhav Thackeray's party, Sena (UBT)--as it is known since the vertical split of 2022--is a constituent of the Opposition's INDIA bloc on the national scale and Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. 

After casting his vote, the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra posed with his family showing their fingers marked with indelible ink. 

Aaditya Thackeray, taking to X, urged people of Mumbai to go and vote in huge numbers today.

In Maharashtra, 2.46 crore persons are eligible to cast vote to decide the fate of 264 candidates in the 13 Lok Sabha seats.

Till 11 am, the voter turnout for the 13 seats in the state has been at 15.93 per cent.

The voter turnout for seats in Mumbai and MMR region are as follows: Palghar- 18.60 perc ent, Bhiwandi- 14.79 per cent, Kalyan- 11.46 per cent, Thane- 14.86 per cent, Mumbai North - 14.71 per cent, Mumbai North West - 17.53 per cent, Mumbai North East - 17.01 per cent, Mumbai North Central - 15.73 per cent, Mumbai South Central - 16.69 per cent, Mumbai South - 12.75 per cent.
