Addressing party workers at a convention in Goregaon, Raj Thackeray said criticising national heroes who fought for Independence was unwarranted.
MNS chief's son Amit Thackeray, other party leaders were also present during the convention.
Raj Thackeray also criticised Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over his remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji.
