The rains have been accompanied with breeze, bringing some respite from the humid conditions

IMD said the monsoon will withdraw from the state by the second week of October

Most parts of eastern and western suburbs have received light to moderate showers

For Monday, October 7, IMD expects temperatures between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius 

Though the extreme heat conditions are likely to continue for the next few days, the weather might take a turn by evening or night and the city can expect light showers 

The windspeed is likely to be around 41-61 kmph, IMD stated in its latest weather update 

IMD has predicted light rain for the city till October 10

For the next 48 hours, IMD has predicted, "Mainly clear sky during morning hours becoming partly cloudy sky towards afternoon. Possibility of light rain/drizzle in city and suburbs"

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours
