BCCI has organized a victory parade for Team India, the recent winners of the T20 World Cup 2024, in Mumbai; the city is gearing up to welcome the champions.

The Team India victory parade will commence at 5 pm from NCPA at Nariman Point and will culminate at Wankhede Stadium by 7 pm.

The team will be participating in the open bus road show which will be followed by a felicitation event at Wankhede Stadium.

The visuals of a bus being prepared for the roadshow emerged online wherein some men could be seen covering the bus in decal of 'Men in Blue'.

Mumbai Police has ensured that the security arrangements are best as a large crowd is expected to gather along the Marine Drive promenade to get a glimpse of the champions.

An official earlier told the media that Mumbai Police is taking every precaution to avoid any untoward incident given the anticipated large crowd and added that adequate security will be deployed along the route of the procession.

The T20 World Cup-winning Indian cricket team arrived in New Delhi from Barbados on Thursday.

Fans lined up outside the airport to welcome the players, despite the rain and heavy security that kept them at a distance.

India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win is the country’s second, ending an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy.

The last ICC title won by India was the Champions Trophy in 2013 under Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
