The India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its latest Mumbai weather update, has predicted a generally cloudy sky with the possibility of light to moderate rainfall in Mumbai on Friday

The officials said that the public transport services of railways and BEST bus undertaking were largely normal

After a two-day lull, it rained in most parts of Mumbai on Friday morning, bringing relief to citizens from the hot and humid weather

The weather department has predicted a "generally cloudy sky with possibility of light to moderate rain in the city and suburbs" in the next 24 hours

The maximum temperature in the city is likely to settle at 34 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be recorded at 26 degrees Celsius

A high tide of about 3.62 metres is expected to hit Mumbai at 5.46 pm today, stated Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The civic body also said that a low tide of about 2.14 metres is expected at 10.58 am today

The IMD announced the onset of southwest monsoon over Mumbai. Earlier on Sunday, Mumbai saw rainfall, indicating the start of the anticipated weather activity
