A crowd of shoppers were spotted near Jambli Galli, Borivali (West) shopping for choicest of ‘lehengas’ (Indian skirts) for the festivities

Consisting mostly of women, the soppers were seen sifting through a heap of clothes to find the perfect garment for them

Some were even trying colourful and ornate jackets to be worn during the festivities

Usually, women don lehengas and men wear kediyus while playing ‘Garba’, a Gujarati dance form, usually performed during Navratri

Navratri celebrations across India will begin on October 15 this year and will culminate on October 24 with Dussehra

The festival of Navratri, alias Shardiya Navratri, is dedicated to worshipping Indian goddess Durga and her nine avatars.
