Uddhav Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), claimed the Shinde government betrayed Maharashtra by allowing projects to move to Gujarat. He also accused the Mahayuti alliance of the biggest betrayal by splintering the Shiv Sena and NCP.

The MVA’s document accuses the Shinde government of corruption in various areas, including the purchase of MLAs, transfers of officials, recruitment processes, and tenders for projects like Dharavi redevelopment and road concretisation in Mumbai.

State Congress chief Nana Patole accused the Shinde government of indulging in corruption even in the construction of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while also highlighting rising crimes against women.

The MVA criticised the Mahayuti for driving industries and jobs away from Maharashtra to Gujarat, which they claim has negatively impacted the state's youth.

Patole further accused the Shinde government of mishandling recruitment processes, citing frequent exam paper leaks and contractual hiring as examples of failures that have harmed Maharashtra's youth.

Uddhav Thackeray assured that once the MVA comes to power, their focus will be on creating jobs and ensuring fair recruitment processes to benefit the state's youth.

Sharad Pawar, leader of the NCP (SP), expressed confidence that the people of Maharashtra are eager for political change and that this desire will be reflected in the upcoming state assembly elections.

Pawar criticised the Shinde-led Mahayuti government for demoralising what was once considered the best state administration in India, calling the government's recent decisions a "mockery of the common man."

Thackeray pointed out that despite a small difference in vote share between Congress and BJP in Haryana's assembly polls, the BJP won more seats. He also questioned why the BJP has not done better in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370.
